E1CEC youth mentoring services for children ages 5 to 17 will focus on therapeutic interventions and activities that bridge the gap between maladaptive behaviors and thought processes that contribute to social conflict. The services consist mostly of group discussions, group activities, and as needed individual and family sessions. These services are initiated by a comprehensive needs assessment and the evaluation of opportunities to learn and use daily skills to enhance social and interpersonal skills. Interventions are designed with structured treatment modalities that include the individual, assigned group members and the facilitator. Other disciplines that are incorporated to help support the individual succeed includes the parent, school, mental health providers, and community service agencies.
Group and individual community-based outings are periodic for exploratory learning and exposure. The services that E1CEC will provide for children and adolescents include observation, collaboration, group discussion and activities, social skills training, one to one session, exploratory group, individualized learning, debriefing following incidents, and acknowledgement for achievements of goals.
