• Registered nurse, with 32 years professional nursing experience
• Earned an Associate of science in nursing from Columbus University in Columbus GA in 1991,
Bachelor of science in nursing from the Medical College of Virginia in 1996, and a Master of science in health administration from Central Michigan University in 2006. Also holds other states licenses (cosmetology, permanent makeup).
• Decorated Military Veteran with awards including Army Achievement Medal, Good Conduct Medal, and earned her wings as an Airborne Ranger in Fort Benning, GA in 1984.
• Retired from Department of Veterans Affairs after 30 years of government service.
• Currently works as a Anticoagulant/Coumadin Clinic Coordinator for clinics in Farmville and Kinston, North Carolina.
• Serve in the community: as a leader of the nursing ministry of her local church for over 13 years, where she promotes health and education of her congregation and the community; and as a volunteer for Medical Reserve Core (MRC) in the tri-city area.
• Served as a board member of Envision One Cultivation & Enrichment Center, a 501c3 non-profit organization for the last 8 years.
